Custom Foot Orthotics

Custom Orthotics may help relieve pain in the:

  • Feet
  • Ankles
  • Knees
  • Hips
  • Back
  • From diabetic/peripheral neuropathy

Poorly functioning feet can cause pain in the feet, knees, hips and low back.  Often times people are advised to get custom orthotics to help relieve their pain.  In our experience, those who have the most success in getting rid of their pain, are those who are properly assessed to determine the true need for orthotics. Since there can be a number of different causes for pain in these areas, a proper assessment of the ENTIRE lower extremities and low back is necessary to find the best solution

Custom Foot Orthotics AbbotsfordOnce a thorough assessment has been done, and it is determined that orthotics will be of benefit, we can provide a truly effective, custom designed, biomechanical corrective device.

Our very specific way of casting the foot for orthotics differs from most and is based on the fact that the most effective way to control the foot is to apply a force directly up under the arch-- not by adding wedges or pads to modify the foots' position. It is only when the arch of the foot is correctly positioned during the gait cycle that the foot can function as it was designed.  We are able to produce an orthotic that will put the foot in the maximally corrected position to create the maximum benefit possible.Ankle Foot Orthotics Abbotsford

With our specific casting technique and the characteristics of the modern plastics used, we can create a custom, supportive platform for each foot that is rigid enough to achieve optimal arch support, while remaining flexible enough to allow enough flattening for shock absorption, terrain adaptation and comfort.

Our special training in the casting process and attention to detail results in a product that is comfortable, highly effective, and works the way it is supposed to. We actually change how a foot functions on the ground. We make people better!
