Our pre and post-natal pregnancy exercise program promotes healthy movement and exercise during and after pregnancy. Birthing parents learn how to safely and actively move their bodies to help reduce the risk of developing gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, preeclampsia and proactively manage symptoms of urinary incontinence.
Patient care focuses on:
- Pelvic floor balance and tone
- Breathing techniques
- Postural changes
- Mental health and wellness
Exercise training is:
- Initiated with a CSEP PARmed-X for Pregnancy Physical Readiness Medical Examination
- Tailored to the individual needs of each birthing mother
- Focused on goal setting
- Provided in one-hour, small group or one-on-one sessions
- Coached by a certified pre and post-natal registered kinesiologist
